April Fools is now a day where you can believe nothing you see online. It’s been a long time since April Fools pranks were merely small jokes played between children in the classroom, nowadays, the world’s biggest businesses and brands compete for the honours of pulling off the biggest prank!
Here are 6 of the best online April Fools pranks of 2013:
Although only in Beta stage, Google Nose was announced which gives users the ability to smell what they are searching for! Although this feature may happen for real one day, Google’s video makes people think that it is possible with current computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Virgin’s Glass-Bottomed Plane
It’s unfortunate that this is an April Fools joke, because it’s a really cool idea! Richard Branson posted an article to his blog announcing the world’s first glass-bottomed plane!
US Military Cats
The US Military released a statement stating that they will start to train military cats as a way to reduce spending. They already have military dolphins(yes, this is true), so this was a believable prank to many Americans.

Google Analytics shows visitors from international space station
If you happened to have a look at your ‘Real Time’ analytics in April 1, you may have noticed that you had 41 visitors from the International Space Station!
YouTube is Closing
YouTube’s April Fools video that announced they were closing down to choose a winner, has had almost 8 million views in two days! In the video they say that it would take 10 years to determine the winner and claim that popularity wouldn’t be a consideration in judging the best video, and that a video with 40 views of a man feeding a duck at a pond had just as much chance of winning as Gangnam Style.
