Summary: Google has announced Video Analytics for AdWords for Video. While advertisers previously had to jump over to YouTube Analytics for much of their video insights and data, AdWords now offers YouTube Analytics-style performance metrics right in the AdWords for Video dashboard.

Summary: AdWords is allowing advertisers to quickly set up countdown timers in their ad copy without the need for scripts. This is a huge time saver for many advertisers.

Title: Google Testing Image Thumbnails in Mobile Search Results?

Summary: There have been many tests and trials in Google mobile search results, so there should be no surprise that some mobile users will notice something different. A small percent of users will notice image thumbnails in their mobile search results. Mobile search results are meant to load fast, and adding image thumbnails will only reduce the speed more.

Title: Google Poll: Do You Want Us To Call Out Your Technical SEO Issues Publicly?

Summary: Gary Illyes from Google has created a poll on Google+ for website owners asking if they would be okay with being publicly called out on any major technical SEO issues on Google+. So far, most people don’t have an issue with this, even though there is a possibility that a lot of people could lose their jobs. WHAT’S NEW IN SOCIAL MEDIA & GENERAL MARKETING THIS WEEK?

Title: Facebook now Auto-enhances Photos Posted from iPhones

Summary: Similarly to Google+, Facebook is now automatically editing photos posted to the social media network from mobile devices. Photos will be automatically ‘enhanced’ for clarity, lighting and shadow. The feature launched for iOS on Tuesday, and is coming to Android soon.

Summary: Google has just released their year in search .The top 10 trending search terms on Google globally in 2014 are: Robin Williams at number one, followed by the World Cup, then Ebola, Malaysian Airline, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Flappy Bird, Conchita Wurst, ISIS, Frozen and finally Sochi Olympics came in at number 10.
